k slum economically oppressed zone
zone(經濟力受壓迫)是比較中性,而政治正確的說法。
(Ò)You're the new person from the slums, aren't you?
(´)We have a new member from the economically oppressed zone.

k middleman Intermediary
(Ò)You can't fix the price then get the middleman to take care of business.
(´)If you can't reach an agreement on the price, you should hire an
intermediary to settle the matter.

k fresh off the boat(FOB) new immigrant
(Ò)Let's try and help the family as much as possible since they're FOB.
(´)Let's help the family as much as possible since they're new immigrants.
