的一封信中，提到這句經典名言 : “Our new Constitution
is now established, and has an appearance that promises

permanency; but in this world nothing can be said to be

certain,except death and taxes. ＂其中，“ Death and taxes

＂一詞最早源於 1726 年丹尼爾 • 笛福 (Daniel Defoe) 所著的
“The History of the Devil: Things as certain as Death and

Taxes,can be more firmly believed. ＂

人皆有死，可是除了死亡之外，被政府課稅也是和死亡一
